This story is
not an old story, already in my mind since 21st of December 2012 but
because do all the assignments and papers from my lecturers. Make me to
postpone my previous plans of writing this story. I still remember Friday 21st
of December 2012, I was sitting besides the right door of Baruga Pettarani
waiting for the miracle happened. There was no ticket with me to watch directly
‘Mata Najwa off air : Metro TV’s talk
show’: “Pemimpin Bernyali” in Baruga Pettarani Hasanuddin University,
sitting so hopelessly and sadly with four of my friends who had the same
destiny with mine. NO TICKET. I already watched many times Tv’s advertisement
showed Mata Najwa Off Air in Baruga Pettarani Makassar and the program will be
held on 21st of December 2012, I asked one of my friends to get the
ticket for me because I did not know the procedure of getting it. My friend
already tried but she could not get the ticket for me and for herself. Really a
sad thing, I did not blame her but I just took a message for myself, no matter
what happen do not ever underestimate a small thing.. yup I thought that I could
get the ticket in fact not at all.
Some of my
friends were happy as they got the tickets. That means they can watch Mata
Najwa directly inside baruga Pettarani while me and some who are not got the
ticket just waiting luckiness greets us. When, I was sitting waiting for a
miracle to come. I made myself busy by taking pictures of people who squeezing
to get in a building. Many of them are students, if I am not wrong there were
six thousands audiences watch, some have chairs to sit but some are not. They
choose to stood up or just sitting on the floor. For me, honestly is a great
thing to see all the great people who became the guests of Mata Najwa. They
are; Yusuf Kalla, Mahfud MD, Dahlan Iskan and Abraham Samad and with the famous
anchor Najwa Shihab. Hmmm, feeling so sad greets me but seems like part of
myself did not accept that I have to give up soon. Until, I believe that I have to meet and talk with one of the great
people as I told you above. My mind asked me to write my wishes as my update
Bbm’s status: “Khayalan terindahku… ah
benakku. Semesta wujudkanlah. Amien ya ALLAH this words like mum’s embrace
me so tightly and shared her feeling peaceful to me, like fresh water that I
drink when I feel so thirsty, like the songs of Ariel ‘Noah’ that I love a lot.
I do really enjoy my thought which has a high imagination of meeting one of
famous people in Indonesia, one thing I admired them as they all very
intelligent ones.
My thought and
my imagination were disappear and maybe little bit shocking when my friend
called my name loudly and reminded me that Najwa Shihab just passed me but I
did not see because I was busy with my phone. I did not believe them, I just
showed a very relaxing respond then I said “really..
ah.. you all just teasing me right” until they said “no we said the truth thing Najwa Shihab already inside”. I did not
know what energy pushed me to get inside Baruga, as my friends pointed to the
door that Najwa already inside Baruga. Without thinking twice, I just step on
my feet to walk quickly opened the door and went inside in, all my friends
stared at me when I just leaved them, maybe they could not believe I did such a
crazy thing, entered the room without any ticket. I met some Metro Tv’s crew
smiled to them naturally and acting like I am one of the Mata Najwa’s committee
in fact I, my heart beats so fast but I said to myself just calm down and I
have to make it. if I have not gotten her picture yet I will not get back. Then,
I just went straight ahead passed many new faces and smiled to them. When I
turned right my head at the first line, I saw Najwa Shihab spoke to her friend
seems Metro Tv’s crew.
There were not any audiences inside Baruga at that time only Tv’s crew as they made sure all machines works well. I collected all my bravery to approach Najwa Shihab until I stood up rightly in front of her and I said politely interrupt their conversation and Najwa Shihab was smiling at me as I told her that my name and majoring is. I was very nervous at that time as I met her. She is very kind person and smart because she is a TV anchor. As far as I know, that someone who works in a national TV must be a very smart, attractive and very flexible one. Najwa Shihab asked her friend to take pictures of us and she asked me back that I still want more pictures or enough. I said to her enough as I know that she did some preparation and wrote some important parts to be said. It does not take times for her to adjust with a new thing as her experiences taught her many things, that is all what I’m thinking of.

After talking
and taking pictures, I asked permission to Najwa Shihab and her friend to go
out. I met some of my friends out side and showed them my pictures with Najwa
Shihab. In fact one of the guy maybe Najwa’s bodyguard or probably the security
was feel cranky as I came inside and took pictures. Hahahaha, I remember all
the sultanates in Buton who will never give up, I remember my friend who always
says SPARTAN when we lose our spirit. Those become a spirit for me and fire me
inside. One thing I remember from Najwa Shihab when I asked to go out she
smiled at me and spoke to me ‘terus kejar
impianmu’ in English “keeps pursuing
your dream” and she gives me a quick hug.
All my friends
were happy too saw my pictures with Najwa Shihab. In fact is not easy to go
inside Baruga Pettarani. ‘talk show Mata Najwa hasn’t started yet. After,
struggling finally we can watch Mata Najwa inside in, my brother encouraged me
to ask a question but many people raised up their hand so the chance being
chosen by Najwa to deliver a question was really tough, depend on how lucky you
are. Even though, I could not asked a question but I was really excited because
I saw how great of Drs. H. Muhammad
Jusuf Kalla (X Indonesia vice president for 2004-2009) ,
DR. Abraham Samad S.H, M.H Dahlan Iskan, and Prof. DR. Mahfud MD in giving
their ideas, I got Mata Najwa’s t-shirt free of charge, shook hands with Mata
Najwa’s guests, took a picture of Unhas’s Rector Prof Dr.dr.Idrus A.Paturusi

After that, I
had dinner in lesehan Damai, Innah came to my rent room with her birthday’s
cake and we celebrated her birthday.
That day,
really a nice story as the rain poured down from the sky all night. It seems
the celebration of feeling grateful to God that I have a story to be told to my
future son and daughter in the future. Ah…. Myself with my imagination.
