MY JOURNEY IN BALI

I am a person who likes travelling lots. I like to see many different things and to get lots of experiences in my life. I never have any plan of visiting one place but I only keep a hope and believe inside of me that one day I will visit some places in my country that I love so much. One of the places that I really want to visit is Bali, it is famous as the tourists destination whether domestic tourists or foreign tourists. I just wonder why many of my friends from many other countries after visiting Baubau town then they often visit Bali. The question in my mind is what is so interesting in Bali that people love to come in Bali? I am questioning myself.

I am really curious to visit Bali, maybe the same as I do really want to visit Australia one day as I dream of touching Opera House in Sydney. People maybe think that I have a crazy dream but I do not care of what people think about somebody else’s dream. As long as they keep believing and try hard to make it real then they can make it possible. My wish of visiting Bali came true when my first cousin asked me to go with her to Bali. Of course I will not refuse her offer then on 18th of September 2013 we took a flight to Bali and used Lion Air hehehe. Lion Air is a plane that brought me to Bali for the first time. If the plane could talk maybe I said hey plane thank you for bringing me to Bali hahaha. On the way along from Makassar to Denpasar I could not stop waiting to arrive in Bali and stand for the first time on Bali’s ground.

We arrived in Bali at seven o’clock in the evening. It was really something surprising for me to have arrived in Bali. I’ll never stop talking to myself that hey.. Nani this is Bali the place you really want to see. The crazy thing I did at the time was to pinch my skin and I felt pain that meant that it was not a dream but this was reality. Mmm what a silly thing I did, but I think anyone else would do the same thing when he/she visited to his/her dream place. My friend picked me up from the airport to find an inn. At that time my aunt and my first cousin were with me. We got an inn nearby Kuta beach. Then, as soon as we arrived we all planned to visit some tourist places in Bali such the Botanical garden in Bedugul, Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) and go to Bali Nusa Dua hotel.

My journey in Bali will not forgotten as I met many new friends, warm people, and nice friendship of meeting many people from many different countries all around the world. I had a chat with them freely and warmly. I never thought about the differences but I just thought of Bali having something that cannot be said which makes people closer to each other and having a tolerance towards one another. I think that my journey in Bali is a dream come true and the thing I believe is that if you have a dream believe it and keep believing because God has thousands or even millions of ways to make it happen. Bali is only an island but Bali taught me that pluralism is something can be avoided in this time but accepting it is something to be learned and it is about having understanding of each other’s differences.

So this is my story of Bali. When I wanted to sleep then I decided to write my story. Pursue your dream and keep believing
